Liverpool star Mohamed Salah will miss the rest of the season after suffering a hamstring injury, according to Egypt national team officials. The Mohamed Salah injury update has raised concern among fans as the forward faces a recovery period that rules him out of key matches.

The 33-year-old Egyptian winger picked up the injury during Liverpool’s 3-1 Premier League win over Crystal Palace. He was forced to leave the pitch in the 60th minute, walking off while applauding supporters at Anfield.

Egypt national team director Ibrahim Hassan confirmed that Salah has suffered a hamstring tear. He said the forward will need around four weeks of treatment, which means he will not return before the end of the club season.

Liverpool have not issued an official medical update, but Egyptian team officials say the injury is serious enough to end his campaign. The Mohamed Salah injury update suggests the player has already played his final match of the season for the club.

Salah has been one of Liverpool’s most important players for nearly a decade. Since joining the club, he has become one of their top scorers in history and played a key role in winning major trophies.

This season, he has scored 12 goals and provided nine assists across all competitions. Despite Liverpool’s strong campaign as Premier League champions, his absence is a major setback for the final stretch of matches.

Liverpool still have several fixtures left. They are scheduled to play Chelsea at home on May 9, Manchester United away on May 3, Aston Villa away on May 17, and Brentford at home on May 24. Salah will not feature in any of these games.

The forward had already announced that he will leave Liverpool at the end of the season. He is expected to say goodbye to fans after the final match against Brentford, marking the end of a long and successful spell at the club.

His exit will close a nine-year period filled with goals, trophies, and record-breaking performances. Salah has been a key figure in Liverpool’s modern success and one of the most consistent attackers in European football.

The Mohamed Salah injury update also brings attention to his international future. Egypt officials say he is expected to recover in time for the 2026 World Cup in North America.

Egypt will compete in Group G alongside Belgium, New Zealand, and Iran. Team officials are confident that Salah will be fully fit for the tournament if his recovery goes as planned.

However, the injury is a reminder of past setbacks. Salah previously suffered a shoulder injury during the 2018 Champions League final while playing for Liverpool. That injury affected his preparation for the World Cup in Russia, where Egypt exited at the group stage.

Officials say Salah is determined to avoid a repeat of that situation. His current recovery plan is focused on ensuring full fitness ahead of the global tournament.

Liverpool fans have expressed concern but also support for the player, who has become one of the club’s greatest modern legends. His contributions over the years have included key goals in domestic and European competitions.

As the season enters its final weeks, Liverpool will now have to adjust their attacking plans without their star forward. The club will rely on other players to fill the gap left by his absence.

The Mohamed Salah injury update marks a difficult moment for both club and country. While Liverpool lose a key player for the final matches, Egypt must also prepare carefully for his long-term recovery.

For now, all attention is on rehabilitation, with hopes that Salah will return stronger ahead of the next international tournament.
