Tottenham defender Destiny Udogie has been identified as the Premier League player allegedly threatened at gunpoint by an agent in north London.
The incident reportedly took place late on 6 September in Barnet while Udogie was out with a friend. Police arrested a 31-year-old man two days later on suspicion of possessing a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, blackmail, and driving without a licence. He has been bailed pending further investigation and has not been charged.
There is no suggestion the suspect is Udogie’s agent. The 21-year-old Italian international did not miss any matches and featured for Spurs in their 13 September win at West Ham.
A Tottenham spokesperson said the club has been supporting Udogie and his family since the incident but declined further comment due to the ongoing legal process.
The Metropolitan Police confirmed that no injuries were reported and that inquiries remain ongoing.
