Russell Dominates Singapore GP as McLaren Teammates Clash

George Russell won the Singapore Grand Prix with a flawless drive from pole to flag.
He said, “That’s how you do it — perfect from start to finish.”
Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri clashed early, igniting McLaren’s growing rivalry.

Russell controlled the race from lights out and never looked back.
He earned his second win of the season and strengthened his Mercedes contract position.
Behind him, chaos brewed at McLaren.

At the start, Norris launched from fifth, passing Kimi Antonelli and Piastri for third.
He forced his way inside through turn three, brushing Piastri’s car.
Piastri shouted over the radio, “Are we cool with Lando just barging me out of the way?”

The team replied they would review the incident later.
Piastri snapped, “That’s not fair. Crashing into your teammate isn’t avoiding anything.”
McLaren’s careful policy of fairness was now in question.

At Monza, Piastri had been told to give a place back to Norris after a slow stop.
    This time, he felt wronged.
Team principal Andrea Stella stayed silent as tension grew.

Over the radio, Piastri refused to engage in strategy talk.
“You do whatever you think is best,” he said flatly.
Norris, meanwhile, insisted, “It was hard but clean racing.”

Russell extended his lead as Verstappen’s tyres faded.
By lap 20, Norris was closing fast, but Verstappen pitted.
McLaren offered Norris the choice to let Piastri pit first — he refused.

A slow stop hurt Piastri, worsening his mood.
The race order stabilized: Russell ahead, then Verstappen, Norris, and Piastri.
Russell crossed the line five seconds clear for a sweet redemption after 2023’s crash.

Antonelli finished fifth, Leclerc and Hamilton sixth and seventh.
Alonso took eighth, Bearman ninth, and Sainz tenth.
Hamilton faced investigation for repeated track limit violations.

The spotlight, however, stayed on McLaren.
Norris gained three points on Piastri, now 22 behind.
The title fight — and their friendship — may not survive the next race.
