    Premier League moves Arsenal and Crystal Palace fixtures before Carabao Cup clash

    The Premier League has approved Arsenal and Crystal Palace’s requests to move their league fixtures ahead of their Carabao Cup quarter-final on Tuesday, 23 December.

    Originally set for Sunday, 21 December, Arsenal’s trip to Everton and Palace’s visit to Leeds United will now both take place at 8pm on Saturday, 20 December.

    The league said the change prioritises player welfare, given the congested schedule and Palace’s Conference League match against KuPS on Thursday, 18 December.

    A Premier League spokesperson added: “This decision reflects the impact of expanded UEFA competitions on the domestic calendar.”

    Both fixtures will still be broadcast live on Sky Sports.
