NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said NATO will strengthen Ukraine’s army and secure commitments from the US and Europe to deter Russia. He called the alliance’s support “unwavering” and said it “continues to grow.”

Rutte confirmed NATO plans to fund a steady flow of lethal US weapons to Ukraine. He said President Donald Trump affirmed America’s involvement in providing security guarantees after a White House meeting.

Rutte explained the agreement will ensure Putin never dares to attack Ukraine again. Discussions about foreign troops, intelligence, sea, and air support are ongoing but unfinished.

    Zelenskyy Demands Strong Security Guarantees

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukraine needs guarantees so future generations live free from Russian attacks. He stressed the guarantees must protect against any aggressor.

Zelenskyy emphasized Ukraine remains ready to cooperate with NATO, the US, and Europe to secure lasting protection. He said planning continues for troop contributions and other support measures.

    Kremlin Blocks Zelenskyy-Putin Summit

Donald Trump proposed a summit between Zelenskyy and Putin after meetings in Alaska and Washington, but Moscow refused.

Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said no meeting is planned because the agenda is “not ready at all.”

At a Kyiv press conference, Zelenskyy accused Moscow of blocking talks. “Ukraine is not afraid of any meetings. We are ready to work productively,” he said.

Zelenskyy urged partners to enforce strong sanctions if Russia avoids diplomacy. He demanded measures to force Moscow into negotiations and push toward a peaceful resolution.
